My string of shows opening for the great Jimmy Pardo is coming to a close for the year at ACME, October 5-9. I'm headlining October 5 (By the way, I can get you in to that show for free. Get in touch with me, or comment here, and I'll give you the code word.). I'll be opening for Jimmy the rest of that week.
One of the great things about working with Jimmy is that he is in a position to choose which clubs he works. The ones that, in his words, "get it." Clubs that "get it" tend to attract audiences who "get it," especially when the headliner is someone they "get." Get it? Got it? Good.
If you were at one of those shows and you bought a CD, or said "hi" or just enjoyed the show enough to be reading this now, THANK YOU. There is no greater joy to me, or any comedian I know, than making people laugh. It is intoxicating, and addictive. Thank you for being my pushers. Also, don't hesitate to contact the club, or request me on the comment card next time you're there. It helps. The disadvantage to working clubs that "get it" is that everybody wants to perform at them. There are a lot of good comedians out there, and the law of supply and demand is in full effect.
